Chapter 1 of Year 41...

Well, where to start… I am sure you can tell by my remaining stitches, I’ve just had extensive plastic surgery.  No need to worry though, I am well on the road to becoming a new and reenergized body! The doctors told me the scars would fade…

Don't give me that look... I know what you’re thinking: why didn’t I just go to therapy rather than under the knife? Well, let’s just say some problems never go away until they are permanently altered. I mean it isn’t easy being 41 years old and having so many different members of my family come and go, but I tell ya, right now, I have some special people with me… like Margit Weisgal and David Brull, to name a couple…

I have been working very hard for a long time to become the best at what I do, and all for 'not for profit' status. By the way, I’m not sure I even introduced myself.  My name is the Trade Show Exhibitors Association (TSEA). Yeah, I know. Funny name. But it could actually be worse! My dad and granddad share the same name so technically I am TSEA III. Like my forefathers, I have maintained myself as the only voice for exhibit and event marketing professionals. I have been providing knowledge to marketing and management professionals who use exhibits to promote and sell their products, as well as to those who supply them with products and services.

When you join our family, you get all sorts of great advantages, from education, networking, resources, advocacy, and member-only discounts to products and services that everyone as exhibit and event professionals use. My programs, services and publications give you the edge over everyone else. Exhibiting is such a tricky area. I think people believe it’s really straight-forward, but there is so much to think of! Like who you want in your booth, what they say, what they wear, what your booth should look like, colors to use, themes, etc…

Our family is composed of you, primarily.  Then there's our Board of Directors, your professional peers; President Margit Weisgal, CME; Director of Art and New Media Ryan Maggid; Education and Events Coordinator Qi Fan (her first name is pronounced ‘Chi’); Marketing Manager Brianna Calkins; Membership Coordinator Lauren Bauer and our Director of Membership and Marketing, David Brull.

One last thing, you may wonder why I do this? That’s an easy question. Like all people who do non-profit work, we do it because we really, really care.

Sincerely,

TSEA(III)
