Chicago, Ill. – January 30, 2007 – Andrew Dudek, TSEA Chairman of the Board, announced that the association has appointed Harris Schanhaut, CME®, Chairman of the TSEA Membership Committee.
Stephen Schuldenfrei, TSEA President, said, “Harris’ enthusiasm and leadership abilities, as well as his interest in helping exhibit managers make the most out of trade shows, make him an outstanding person to lead this committee, as TSEA looks to increase its membership.” TSEA’s Membership Committee is responsible for promoting membership in the association among exhibit and event professionals, as well as other individuals interested in the goals, principles, and activities of the organization. The committee aids staff in the recruitment of new members and the retention of existing members. The committee monitors the status of membership in TSEA and develops actions to increase and maintain recruitment and retention of members.
Schanhaut has been managing events for more than twenty years in diverse industries including automotive, medical, travel, technology and manufacturing. He currently works as an Events Marketing Manager at American Express Global Corporate Services, and has been a speaker at industry events since 2003. Schanhaut is a co-chair on Meeting Professionals International's Greater New York Chapter within the Strategic Partnership Committee, is on TSEA’s Board of Directors, and is on the Board of Directors of the Event and Exhibition Industry Audit Commission.
