This past weekend, 23 senior exhibit managers gathered in Tucson, Ariz., for the 2nd Annual Master’s Retreat. "This was awesome!" was a typical post-event comment. Every evaluation received to date rated the program "excellent," and stated that the program would be recommended to a peer.
The 2nd Annual Master's Retreat, packed with great ideas and tons of take-a-ways, was produced by Marc Goldberg of Marketech. Programs of special note were "Plan B," presented by Cyndi Erp and Teri Nobbe, CME/H, which proferred solutions for when your original plan goes astray, and Tom Bowman's (Bowman Exhibits) call to action on the real dangers of global warming. The educational line-up also included case studies.
Beyond the programs, the weekend of social interaction gave the group a refreshing recharge. Chef Jamie West not only cooked a special salmon lunch, but he also shared with us the recipe. And Resort Manager, Erv Schultz, offered a wine tasting with wines from Oregon to Australia. The book club reception was also a big hit and will be followed by a reading list for the new year.
Planning for the 3rd annual Master’s Retreat is already in the works with the thought that it should be in early September, 2008. Stay tuned for more information!
