During our breaks, lunches, and other times that we were not in session at the 2010 Emerging Leaders Conference,  I heard people talking about what they do. They were sharing  tips on how they might do their job better or differently.  I found this very helpful, so I suggested to the AboutFace Editorial Committee that we start featuring tips from our members in our newsjournal that might help some of our other members.   This is an opportunity for you to learn and to share.  Send in your tips to gnary@tsea.org.

Tip #1 - Read your exhibitor kit completely every year.  Things change and some venues are unique to the rest of your schedule.  For example, in Boston, the exhibitor/I&D actually lay the electric cords from the doghouses that are left in the space. There is no other venue on my regular schedule that we can do that, so reading the exhibitor kit helps me to remember and plan appropriately, saving time and money on show site.
