TRAQ-IT Software
TRAQ-IT Software was created in 1998 by Dr. Robin Potter, founder and CEO of a multi-million dollar healthcare financial services business, who was overwhelmed with managing the multitude of details associated with exhibiting. Dr. Potter and his staff felt first-hand the frustrations experienced by every tradeshow professional. No viable tools existed to help manage the massive amount of coordination and paperwork required to exhibit at tradeshows. TRAQ-IT accepted that challenge and soon filled that void. This rapidly growing software specialist now has approximately 700 U.S. and international clients.
What grew from a small, desktop product is now an entirely web-based system which continually provides several corporate tradeshow and event managers worldwide a tool to:
- Keep track of to-do and payment reminders
- Provide staff their itineraries and other critical show information
- Budgetary and expense information
- Manage inventory and booth collateral
- Report on all tradeshow activity
- Determine the ROI and ROO for events
TRAQ-IT has been a longstanding member of TSEA since 1998 and won their “Best in Show” Award in 2004. In addition to the TSEA award, TRAQ-IT has received several other awards, including:
- 1998: The "Buyers' Choice" award at the Exhibitor Show, an annual event organized by Exhibitor Magazine to showcase exhibiting products and services.
- 1999: Inc. Magazine awarded the TRAQ-IT "Best of Show" in its Technology Review.
- 2004: “Best in Show” Award in 2004 at the TS² show.
When interviewing Marina Ellis, TRAQ-IT's Director of Operation and Technical Support for Software, I learned that she is responsible for troubleshooting our customer’s technical questions, as well as training our customers on the continually upgraded application. . I asked Marina what was the most memorable event she’d ever experienced at TRAQ-IT, Marina told me that it was their ten-year anniversary at the Exhibitor Show in Las Vegas in 2006 when she first came face to face with many of her clients that she’d only previously known over the phone. They hugged her and thanked TRAQ-IT for helping to make their lives easier, and it was like they were old friends. It was then she said that she really was able to see how much their software really helped tradeshow managers.

I was impressed by the new look of TRAQ-IT's interface, and when asked, Marina explained that they had redesigned their application last year, they added easy-to-read fonts and brighter colors which has resulted in many compliments from their customers.
When I asked Marina how TRAQ-IT's membership in TSEA has benefited their company, she explained that, "Being a part of TSEA makes us a resource in the Tradeshow industry. TS² is also one of our most important events of the year." She also pointed out that she has recommended TSEA to many of their clients.
